Anniversary Arrow Sign

E & C finished

Supplies you need for this project:

  1. A picture frame of a size to your liking.  The frame must have a wood back.  If not you can find thin plywood at the hardware store in small pieces and they’ll cute it to the size you need.
  2. Paint for painting the frame, unless you want to leave it as is.
  3. Chalkboard paint. And
  4. Either chalk or liquid chalk.  I used liquid chalk for this project and although it turned out fine I would use regular chalk if I were doing it again.
  5. White transfer paper.

Directions for this project:

Remove the back from the picture frame and set it aside.

Apart with frame painted

Paint the frame the color you want it, set it aside and let it dry.

Paint the wood backing you removed from the frame, or the wood piece you purchased, with the chalkboard paint and let it dry.Transfer

When the chalkboard paint is completely dry.  Lay down the transfer paper and the wording you printed out.  Trace around the letters transferring them on to the chalkboard.

Take your chalk and fill in the letters.Lines for arrows

To make the arrows I simply placed the ruler where I wanted the arrows and drew a straight line, the shaft, then I add the ends and a few circles and diamonds to give them a little more character.

Then return the back to the frame and you have your chalkboard sign.
